Happy New Year! I'm excited about the new year and the growth of the Western Pennsylvania Apartment Association. We have a newly elected board, dedicated to working hard to make sure that we meet your needs. We're looking closely at education, meetings, networking opportunities, and community service.

We have made some changes in the past year and have hired an association manager. If you haven't yet met her, I urge you to attend a luncheon and meet Nancy Wilson. Since Nancy's profession is running associations, she can devote time and experience to administrative matters. This frees up valuable volunteer time for our industry related issues.

You should be seeing fewer faxes and more emails. We can now accept meeting registrations on our website. We want to make it as convenient as possible for you. In 2009, you'll receive a meeting announcement via an email which will contain a link directly to our registration page. We are also going to start sending our bi-monthly newsletter out via email and via fax. Also, the best way to stay up to date with all the WPAA events is by visiting the website at www.wp-apt-assoc.com.

Of course, this is YOUR Association and we welcome your comments, participation and suggestions. We even welcome your complaints – we can't fix a problem that we don't know about.
